This is an outdoor version of AmeriGlide’s Horizon stairlift that is designed to handle fluctuating weather conditions. It has a waterproof cover to protect its seat and track, and a rubber foot mat to provide extra traction and prevent slipping. Additionally, the electronic components are insulated to prevent electrical accidents.
That being said, note that this stairlift is not designed to be used on ice, as its steel components are subject to rust. The Horizon Plus, like other outdoor stairlifts, will need regular maintenance to prevent degradation.

AmeriGlide Curved Stairlifts
AmeriGlide curved stairlifts are not pre-made, rather they are customized for each customer. AmeriGlide sends out a technician to measure the staircase with a digital measuring kit. With the use of CAD drawings a curved stairlift is designed and manufactured.
Aesthetic features can be incorporated into a curved stairlift design as well. This includes having it take a 90° or a 180° turn to keep it from ending abruptly at the bottom of a staircase. Once the design is finished, it is shipped to the customer for installation.
