Medical Care Alert is a very highly rated medical alert provider that serves all the United States. It operates US-based emergency operation centers and sells a selection of at-home and mobile alert systems. It claims to have the smallest buttons, loudest speakers, and most affordable solutions, and while all those things are debatable, the quality of its products isn’t.
Medical Care Alert Products
All Medical Care Alert products are available as quarterly, semi-annual, and annual subscription packages. The costs are displayed based on their monthly equivalent, but you will always be billed every 3, 6, or 12 months.
There are no activation fees and beyond the initial contract, there are no long-term commitments. You’ll also get free USPS priority shipping with semi-annual and annual subscriptions.
All of these products are available with an in-home risk-free trial that extends for 14 days after the product was purchased. You will get all your money back if you discover that the units are not what you expected.
Medical Care Alert’s products include:
Home Medical Alert System
A base unit that features a large red “help” button and comes with a wearable pendant. The pendant is waterproof and never needs to be charged. Optional fall detection is available, and the unit is sold for the equivalent of between $27.45 and $29.95 a month.
The Home Medical Alert System works through your landline, but there is also a cellular option. It provides many of the same features and benefits but costs a few extra dollars per month and doesn’t need to be hooked up to a landline.
Home and Away Ultra
A shower-safe mobile unit that features a GPS locator, 3-day battery life, and complete protection inside and outside the home. It’s incredibly small and lightweight, so it won’t be a nuisance to carry around. It can be dropped into a pocket or purse and taken with you anywhere you go.
The Home and Away Ultra begins at $36.62 per month and you’ll get a free EMS lockbox with all orders.
AutoFALL Fall Detection
Automatic fall detection can be added to either of the above packages. Known as AutoFall, this unit has a 400-foot range from the base unit and automatically triggers an SOS when it detects a fall.
