According to the staff, its nurses and caregivers often work 12 hour shifts. Elmcroft of Point Loma also has a medical doctor on call and 24-hour care with Med Tech Caregivers. Residents also have access to physical and speech therapy, additional doctors and podiatrists as well.
Moreover, the staff at Elmcroft of Point Loma must go through a specialized training program called “Best Friends.” In this program, each staff member will pair up with a resident to gain a better understanding of the resident and establish trust/rapport.
