General Information

Watercrest St. Lucie West is the newest, most innovative Assisted Living community in the St. Lucie area. The community has a fresh, country-club feel.  It is tastefully designed with tasteful colors and patterns but feels very comfortable and welcoming.

St. Lucie West offers all-day dining in their open, restaurant-style dining room. They have a Bistro where they do wine tastings of their signature Watercrest label wine. Residents can also dine al fresco near the pool if they choose. Large activity and sitting rooms are available to relax, gather with friends or join in an activity. If residents feel the need to relax and unwind, they are able to visit a full service spa and salon. Residents also have access to grand patios and courtyards with comfortable, cozy chairs to sit in and enjoy a sunset and the balmy Florida weather.

Beautiful surroundings are important, but quality of care is also of utmost importance at Watercrest St. Lucie West. The staff are all Certified Dementia Practitioners and receive on-going training and education. Employees are selected carefully based on experience and desire to serve the elderly. Prospective staff members go through an extensive interview process. St. Lucie West wants only the best, experienced, kind and compassionate staff serving their residents.

Community Details

Dining: Residents enjoy freshly prepared meals three times a day. The chef utilizes fresh, seasonal ingredients. Dining for Assisted Living is in the dining room, the Bistro or pool side. Those in Memory Care are served in the neighborhood dining rooms, family-style and in smaller groups. The choices change daily and offer a wide variety of options from which to choose.

Care Services/Staffing: Licensed nurses are on site 24 hours a day and they handle medications, not med-techs. Licensed nurses have their eyes on the residents multiple times per day so that a change of condition would be noticed quickly. All staff are Certified Dementia Practitioners and Department Heads are well seasoned and experienced. Staff members are selected carefully and must have a servant heart and desire to work with the senior population.

Building Features: The building looks modern from the outside but is very welcoming and homey on the inside. There are large, open areas for residents to enjoy, open dining, Bistro, wine tasting, swimming pool, Salon/Spa, and a gym. The community also has a beautiful lake view out the back as well as a signature water wall, multiple fireplaces and outdoor living spaces.

Activities: Residents will participate in a full calendar of activities including games, walking groups, art classes, exercise programs, and community outings to local attractions. Activities will be displayed throughout the community and calendars are sent to the residents and their families every month.

Watercrest St. Lucie West is located right in the middle of St. Lucie West in a mixed commercial and residential area, close to the 95 Freeway. Residents are welcome to walk or drive their scooters to the shopping center across the street which includes Walmart, Ross, Walgreens, Panera, Starbucks, TGI Fridays and lots of other small stores. Golf courses, parks and even the ballpark where the Mets complete their spring training are all within a short drive of the community.

No, Watercrest St. Lucie only requires a month-to-month contract.

What types of health assessments are performed routinely?

Before a resident is able to move into the community, an assessment is performed. Once they move in, another is performed and then again at 30 days after moving in. A personalized service plan is put in place when the resident moves in and regular assessments are done every 90 days to 6 months going forward. If a change of condition is noticed, a care conference will be called to update the service plan as needed.

Watercrest St. Lucie West will offer several options to their residents out in the community, including but not limited to dining out, cultural events and visits to local attractions. Transportation is provided by the community.
