The community welcomes Assisted Living and Memory Care residents and strives to serve everyone that enters its doors by closely following their mission statement of Welcome, Care and Serve. Staff members are sought out that have a compassionate heart and a desire to work with seniors. All staff members are Certified Dementia Practitioners and receive on-going training and education.
In addition to the highly-trained staff, Watercrest Lake Nona is a beautiful place to live. Little touches like a water-wall, a grand piano, a full service salon/spa and an outdoor fireplace set Lake Nona apart from other communities in the area. Residents in Assisted Living will find a washer and dryer in each apartment, which is a rarity in most communities. Other amenities include vaulted ceilings, a wine bar, Bistro dining, a pizza oven with made to order pizza and a private dining room which can be reserved for special occasions.
Residents in Memory Care benefit from a circular-shaped layout, to assist those who might be exit seeking and it also helps reduce anxiety. The residents are involved and encouraged to stay social by engaging in stimulating activities. There is a large sunroom for the residents to enjoy, music therapy, singing, dancing, and a beauty salon. Another small touch is the use of blue lights on the walls at night. It provides enough light for them to go to the restroom but not enough to wake them up.

No, Watercrest Lake Nona operates on a month-to-month contract.
What types of health assessments are performed routinely?
Before a resident moves into the community, as assessment is performed. Another assessment is performed upon moving into the community and then again 30 days after move in. A personalized service plan is created upon moving into the community and will be updated every 6 months moving forward, unless there is a change of condition.
What types of community events does Watercrest Lake Nona offer?
The residents at Watercrest Lake Nona like to stay active and are able to attend museums, performances like Cirque du Soleil, casinos, ball games and much more. The close proximity to downtown Orlando allows frequent outings. Watercrest Lake Nona offers several activities within the community as well and they are frequent and tailored to the residents’ wants and requests.
Are the apartments furnished at Watercrest Lake Nona ?
No, the apartments are not furnished. Residents are able to personalize their own space and make it their own.
