General Information
Lo-Har Senior Living is a senior community with a dedicated staff for Assisted Living and Memory Care. The community itself was built in the 1950s, and has undergone a number of renovations. The Assisted Living section of the community was built in recent years. Other parts of the community were renovated, including the addition of an upgraded kitchen.
The lead registered nurse and staff work with residents closely every day. A number of residents and staff members have been a part of the community for more than 10 years. The Lo-Har staff focuses on the care and treats the job like a duty or calling.
The Assisted Living section has all new rooms, paint, flooring, fixtures, and televisions. There are areas of the community that could use some updating. The exterior of the building features lush landscaping with large trees, healthy green lawn, and colorful flowers. It also has a secure courtyard where residents can enjoy time in nature in between meals and activities. Lo-Har also has a medication room where the staff can store medications with a double lock. The kitchen at Lo-Har Senior Living is relatively new. It now has the ability to modify meal plans to suit the needs of each resident. Lo-Har serves home-style meals, and offers numerous types of snacks and beverages at all times. Lo-Har Senior Living can serve liquid diets or mechanical soft diets, or accommodate special diets if a resident has allergies or other dietary needs.

Care Services/Staffing:
At Lo-Har Senior Living , there are up to 27 caregivers on staff as well as a licensed nurse from Monday through Friday. For the night shift, Lo-Har Senior Living will keep at least 4 caregivers on site. Moreover, it staffs up to 6 caregivers in the day and 6 in the evening. In addition, Lo-Har Senior Living normally keeps 3 Med-Techs on staff at all times.
The management company, The Ensign Group Inc., requires a 5-day training for all staff and continued training by a licensed nurse every month. There is not a lot of turnover at this community. Lo-Har Senior Living has a philosophy with “gentle awakenings.” Accordingly, the residents may wake up at their own pace. Next, the kitchen staff will save breakfast or bring it to them and/or bring it to them. Staff members here work closely with the residents, as they can recall names, hobbies, stories, and routines.

No. You may submit payment for your fees monthly. There are no long-term contracts.
